Advent Adventure Series: The Series, The Support Project

The Series

Advent is a season of announcing that God has come near to us in the gift of Christ Jesus.  Sadly, our busy schedules and shopping habits have made it challenging for most of us to respond appropriately to the gift.
Join us the first two weeks in Advent as we learn what it means to:
Worship Fully.
Spend Less.
Give More.
Love All.
Advent Adventure is a Jr. High & High School series, with four lessons being covered in Sunday School & Group.  Starts 12.1 @ Group for Jr. High, and 12.5 @ Sunday School for Sr. High.  Consider how you can join the Adventure with us this Advent season!

The Support Project

The Advent Adventure series calls us to Worship Fully, Spend Less, Give More, and Love All.  You can do this by supporting our Compassion student, Shewanda, in particular, and Compassion International’s gift initiative in general.  Want to participate?  Here’s what to do:

1) All Interested Students: Sign up on our Facebook page--Kishwaukee Youth Ministries--or in the narthex.  By signing up,  you commit to donate $12 of your earned money to Compassion International.

2) Bring your money to donate at Sunday School (12.5, 12.12), Jr. High Group (12.1, 12.8), or High School Group (12.5, 12.12).

Jr High: Your support provides Shewanda Sanon, our Compassion Child, with food, water, clothing, education, and a chance to hear the Gospel of Christ.

High School: Your support provides Compassion International the funding to purchase medical supplies, farming equipment, clean water, and more for a child and their family.  More gift ideas available at compassion.com/catalog.
